Mint just updated and shot Firefox in the face...

Postby SilverRain79 » Wed Nov 25, 2009 3:22 pm

Hello there!

I apologize if this is in the wrong place but it seemed appropriate.

Mint just updated and shot Firefox in the face. Unfortunately I didn't save the error message I got and was able to save it by completely removing the package...

3.0.15+nobininoly-1mint1-0ubuntu0.9.04.1 meta package for the popular mozilla web browser, which appears at the top of the package list in synaptic when I search for firefox.

I also forced it back to the early Jaunty update, which I know worked, just to be safe.

Don't know if this helps anyone, or if it's a known issue, but figured I would share.

I'm using Mint 7, Gloria 64bit edition. Kernal Linux 1.6.28-15-generic, GNOME 2.26.1

Thanks,
SilverRain79

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
