System report for usrmerge conversion not disappearing even after i installed usrmerge and did a reboot

Post by zeltron »

I have actually installed usrmerge package using sudo apt install usrmerge and then rebooted my computer since I got a system report to do this thing. But still the report in the system reports to install usrmerge doesn't disappear.
Here is my ls -l / output.

Just wanted to mention one more thing which is that I have upgraded from 20.2 to 20.3 rather than doing a fresh install.

I have the same problem.
Upgraded from 20.2 some week ago.
today the 'perform usrmerge conversion' system report appeared with no way to get rid of it instead ignoring it.
but i don't want to ignore. i want to find out why my system is thinking these directories arent symlinked!

yeah even i just ignored the report for now. But yeah this seems to be a bug for people who upgrade from 20.2 to 20.3.
