Hi everybody,
Since Linux Mint 20.2 the behavior of xed opening documents has changed:
Before Mint 20.2 the default behavior of xed was, if you had already a running instance, that the editor window came to front, once you open a new textfile (e.g. double clicking in nemo) in a new tab.
Since Mint 20.2 this does not happen anymore. If you open a new tab in xed in a running instance the editor window remains in the back, if other windows are in the foreground, which is some sort of annoying, as you do not really recognize that you opened a document.
Upgrading to Mint 20.3 didn't help.
Can anyone else confirm this behavior, and is there maybe a setting to get the original one?
Cheers!

I guess nobody else can confirm that behavior. I use LM 19.3 and my xed works good. I guess your experience is unique. Sorry we couldn't help you.
