(Solved) Sound popping and scratchy for main user
The sound on linux mint is popping and scratchy for me as the main user. However, when I switch to my wife's login it works fine. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Hello nonno13,
please see on the following website under "Bad Sound Fix Tips" point 1:

If it doesn't help, try point 2 of "No Sound Fix Tips" above.

I think that following sequence fixed my problem. Rather than deleting the pulse file I renamed it. I need a little more time to be sure all is back to normal..
Reset PulseAudio's configuration files to default then restart the sound daemon:
Delete the files in /home/yourusername/.config/pulse
Type the following in the terminal: pulseaudio -k
Wait a few seconds, then test your sound
Thank you.
