Tomboy notes are where??

Let me preface this by saying I have already searched and there is no folder named "tomboy" in ~/.local/
I'm running Mint 20.3 and tomboy 1.15.9.
In the past I copied my tomboy folder and pasted it into my documents folder so I could keep it backed up. I have a lot of old notes that I need and would like to import them into tomboy. In the past, I simply copied and pasted my documents folder copy back into the cryptic location that I always have to Google because I can never remember where tomboy decides to put them.
Now I'm getting worried as every search I do says the same thing, that there should be a folder in ./local named tomboy but there is not.
When I open tomboy I have a few newer notes that I have made recently so it is storing them.....somewhere. I need to paste all my old ones into this folder if I can just find the damn thing.

OK I solved my own problem but I will post the answer here for the next poor sap.
The location of tomboy notes as of January 21, 2022 AD while running Mint Cinnamon 20.3 and tomboy 1.15.9 is:

/home/your user name/.var/app/org.gnome.Tomboy/data/tomboy

That seems odd to me, As I don't have or recall ever having a .var directory in my /home.

And while I admit to not having Tomboy 1.15.9 installed the default storage location always was /home/$USER/.local/share/tomboy

Not to argue with you, just saying "seems odd".

Yeah, who knows! I also read a thread here saying tomboy wasn't even available in Mint past version 17 or some such yet here I am running 20.3 and I was able to install tomboy with no problem albeit it seems to have picked an even more odd place to store my notes. I certainly didn't "tell" it to install there. If it gave me choice, I would tell it to put the tomboy folder in my documents folder, like I want in the first place!

I was surprised to find I do have a .var directory. If has a single app directory with this in it:
