question about upgrading Kicad 5 to 6

I'm on Mint 20.2
and not sure how the app installation process works

FYI, I'm running Kicad 5.1.12 that I installed from the repositories (software manager)
and need to upgrade to Kicad 6 soon

question: do I need to uninstall 5 first ??!

something like this ??!

or can I just install/pile 6 on top of 5 and things should be designed to sort themselves out ... ?!
