No /dev/ttyUSB0 when usiing WSJTX with Linux Mint 20.2

Post by tkr »

Hi all I have installed WSJTX 2.5.4 on my Linux Mint 20.2 machine. When doing the set up, the comm window show just USB. It gives no other method of connection. How do I bring up the dev/ttyUSB0 for usb connection to my radio.
Thanks

You can't bring up the connection or create devices as a user. Linux creates the device files. What does

Code: Select all

 ls /dev/tty*
report?

I think on my laptop I had to set it for ttyACM0. But don't have the laptop handy to check it. Or maybe that was on my NanoVNA or my tinySA.
