how to download video clips

hi every 1,

i am new to linux mint and i need to know how can i download clips from video hosting sites like youtube..etc

In the Mint Repositories, search for > youtube-dl then, click to install.

Or, I know that FireFox/Mozilla has a download manger for downloading stuff from youTube, amoung other online video sites.
You would have to add it to the FireFox add-ons http://videodownloadhelper.net/

The "1-Click YouTube Video Downloader" Firefox add-on is good too.

now i am using the add on that comes with firefox.
