Hypnotix Infinite Cycling

Post by DLF2000 »

Hypnotix does not work properly on my system. It is version 2.6. When I open it and select a channel the software cycles infinitely. Current system specs:

the software cycles infinitely
Assuming that means the player window displays a swirly or whatever 2.6 uses to show delay.
Do any of these channels work ?
[USA] CNN (international)
[UK] BBC World News
[UK] BBC World Service (audio only)
[EN] Al Jazeera English

If those work the problem isn't Hypnotix, it's the playlist. Unfortunately much (most?) of the list is broken.
The default list gets auto updates so which channels fail will vary over time.
I'm using 2.0 but 2.6 uses the same playlist.

CNN & BBC load up immediately.

I have been trying to load CBC-Toronto, which fails. I do not understand this; CBC is a public broadcaster in Canada, whereas CNN is private. In other words, CBC is free over the air; no special licences required unlike BBC.

Any ideas?

I had the same problem viewing CBC.
If you're located in Canada this solution should work. If you're outside Canada the geo-block may prevent viewing.

Code: Select all

#EXTM3U

#PLAYLIST:Hypnotix Working M3Us

#EXTINF:-1 tvg-logo="https://i.imgur.com/RulfaHI.png" group-title="News",CBC Toronto
https://cbclivedai1-i.akamaihd.net/hls/live/566940/event2/CBLT/master5.m3u8

#EXTENDLIST-X-ENDLIST
save that in a file named extras.m3u8 or whatever name you like.
In Hypnotix click on the icon on the right that looks a mini TV. Then click on "add a new provider".
hypnotix_rs.png
From now on when starting Hypnotix click on that little TV icon to select from provider lists.
There's more CBC available in the link directly below:
https://github.com/Free-TV/IPTV/issues/79

PS: If you you're interested in all the CBC radio stations just ask and I'll post a link.
