Bluetooth adapter not found

Post by flammablepez »

Hello all,

I've tried for hours following other threads to resolve this to no avail. I'm dual booting windows and linux mint. I've never been able to get bluetooth to work but it works on windows. I've used different kernels, different versions of LM and never had any luck. I've recently reset BIOS to default settings then disabled fast boot and secure boot again.

Code: Select all

ID TYPE DEVICE SOFT HARD
0 wlan phy0 unblocked unblocked

lsusb yields:

Re: Bluetooth adapter not found

Post by Termy »

Is it the Asus Q302LA-BBI5T14 13.3″ Convertible? It's quite probably not supported in Linux yet, sadly. What you could do is buy a cheap low-profile Bluetooth dongle for USB which is supported. I had a look online, but couldn't find anything regarding Bluetooth for that or similar model. It might help to tell us the full model of your laptop. It's usually on the back of the laptop. It'd then be easier to traverse the interwebs for clues.
I'm also Terminalforlife on GitHub.
