Hi! my problem is that the microphone volume is automatically adjusted during meet calls or any other application that is using it. I don't know how to avoid it.
For example, I set it to 20% but it immediately adjusts to 50%, which introduces a lot of external noise and annoyance to the call.
My config:
Notebook Acer Aspire E1-422
Linux Mint 20.2 (uma) - Cinnamon
Audio: Device-1: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Kabini HDMI/DP Audio driver: snd_hda_intel
Device-2: Advanced Micro Devices [AMD] FCH Azalia driver: snd_hda_intel
Sound Server: ALSA v: k5.4.0-90-generic

Re: Microphone auto increase during meet
Hello and welcome to the forum.
Surely there is some intervening action. For instance:
You open Sound Settings (or something else)
Then go to Input tab
Then adjust to 20%
Then close Sound Settings
Then start your recording session - state the program (Kazam, Audacity, or whatever)
etc.
Is this really true? That means you can never adjust it to 20%.I set it to 20% but it immediately adjusts to 50%
