Re: Librewolf
There is jammy as a target in the code:

Re: Librewolf
It seems they have either flatpak or AppImage versions. In the official source you find a flatpak version. Did you try that?

Sorry t42
This doesn't give me any clues
Thanks anyway

@Cosmo:
No doesn;t work.... they don't update their commands with new releases... It's a bit hopeless, there.

But you trust them anyway? Mh.

@Cosmo:
Browser works fine, but their update-system sucks as hell.
I also use Firefox and that lacks a lot of privacy-settings compared with Librewolf...
It's nicer to be able to use both.

Re: Librewolf
Consider trying Vivaldi browser instead. It has a far more better privacy than other chromium based browsers and can compete with FF easily.

I guess I'm to old to change from FF, and they lately try a bit more to catch up with privacy

Yes, whether it's a matter of age or not, I've been an Opera fan for a long time, when Opera still had an integrated email client.
Vivaldi is the worthy successor...
At least I got to know extensions which are also available for FF and which improve privacy considerably:

I use Ublock Origin for years, very good, and additionaly Trace/
Very happy with those two, and always VPN... Probabaly still traceable, but it makes just a bit less easy.
With deviceinfo.me, it looks rather good.
And of course, anonymous DNS servers, not Google etc.

Re: Librewolf
As @t42 mentioned, they do have builds for jammy, which is the Ubuntu base for Mint 21. However, they also appear to have builds for Mint vanessa. Sadly neither of these are listed on the Debian-base installation page. Perhaps they're not ready, or perhaps it's an oversight by the web page maintainers.

Re: Librewolf
@ron69 I was able get librewolf installed in Mint Mate 21 but did have difficulties. I used the website posted by @cosmo, but had to make modifications. I discovered that I was not prompted to add my password when using sudo. When a command appeared to hang, I pressed enter an additional time to get a prompt to enter my sudo password. I also discovered the file /etc/apt/sources.list.d/librewolf.sources was an empty file. (So that command did not work) I copied the contents of what was in my mint 20.3 librewolf.sources file to the Mint 21 librewolf.sources file. Then ran the final 2 commands and librewolf installed properly.
In my case below is the content of the librewolf.sources file that worked for me in Mint Mate 21
Types: deb
URIs: https://deb.librewolf.net
Suites: una
Components: main
Architectures: amd64
Signed-By: /usr/share/keyrings/librewolf.gpg

Re: Librewolf
@ron69 - please disregard my earlier post, @ dave 0808 has a better solution. I went back to an earlier snapshot and used @dave0808 method.
@ dave0808 your solution to override their script, not run the first line, and explicitly set your distro to be vanessa worked perfectly!
Thanks.

Re: Librewolf
Thanks for reporting back.
Over to @ron69 to mark the topic as solved (if he/she is happy).
