I'm running Mint 20.3 and rhythmbox 3.4.4. on x86-64. I have installed:
grilo-plugins-0.3-base (0.3.11)
grilo-plugins-0.3-extra (0.3.11)
libgril0-0.3-0 (0.3.12)
libgril0-0.3-bin (0.3.12)
rhythmbox-plugins (3.4.4)
In rhythmbox->Preferences->Plugins I see and have enabled Grilo Media Browser
Yet I do not see my Raspberry PI minidlna server (Version 1.2.1) listed anywhere even after +->Check for New Devices. I am able to connect to the minidlna server from VLC as well as from my Denon media system and iPhone.

Re: rhythmbox with grilo; can't find dlna server
No one has any suggestion to offer?
Am I the only one with this problem?
Is my question too silly for a response?

Re: rhythmbox with grilo; can't find dlna server
I had a similar problem in ubuntu 22.04 and solved with the grilo-plugin-0.3-extra package, but this one added the following packages that weren't in your list:
dleyna-server
libdleyna-connector-dbus-1.0-1
libdleyna-core-1.0-5
try checking these out.
