I would like to get be able to program the STM32 boards with the Arduino ide via the usb port. The Arduino v2.0 is now working fine with Mint 21.0 and I can upload sketches to the Aduino boards ok.
I have added the stm32 series board manager to the Arduino ide but cannot see the STM32 DFU programmer in the Tools menu, therefore cannot upload to the Blackpill 32F401
I have also installed the STM32Cube programmer but forgetting the Arduino ide I should be able to connect STMCube to the STM32 but it doesn't connect.
I've done all this with Windows 10 and it works. there is, however, a common problem with Windows and the Arduino is that it has become very slow to compile.
So the question is firstly how do I get the STMCube to see the Blackpill before I move on tho the Arduino ide?
If I enter lsusb in Terminal I can see that the Blackpill in DFU mode is there.
Many thanks in advance for any advice
