I have an Acer Swift 3 laptop. I'm very happy with it, everything seems to work except the fingerprint reader (not worried about that) and suspend. I can suspend either by clicking suspend in the Cinnamon power options, or by pressing the Suspend key (shares with F1). Either way, instead of suspending it just shuts down. It seems not to go through the normal shutdown process (e.g. LM logo briefly), shutting down more quickly, and I suspect it is having to do a full fsck next time it boots up. No windows are restored after boot.
Is there a known issue/fix for this? I'm on Mint 21 Vanessa, fully updated.

If you think the issue is solved, edit your original post and add the word solved to the title.
Re: Suspend button just shuts down
Waking from Suspend can usually be done by pressing any key on the keyboard. Does that work for you?
If not, how are you trying to wake up?

Re: Suspend button just shuts down
No, only the power button wakes it up. And it looks like a normal boot-up.
The little power LED on the side goes out when I press suspend: it seems completely powered off.

Hmm. Try this in the terminal. Same result?
Code: Select all
sudo systemctl suspend
