". . . ubuntu12_32/steam could not be found"

Post by Ethem »

These past few days I did a fresh install of Mint 21, and part of that was installing Steam from the Software Manager. For some reason the System Reports app has repeatedly given the following error under crash reports:

Code: Select all

The package providing /home/[my profile]/.steam/debian-installation/ubuntu12_32/steam could not be found.
If you want to generate a stack trace for this crash report, please reinstall it.
Steam itself appears to work perfectly fine. I haven't seen it crash.

Mint itself also works fine. The only other problem I can see is that, when I boot up, there's a bunch of error text that gets briefly thrown up before the Mint logo appears and I am logged into my desktop. I don't know how to access such text, but I also don't know if said text is actually relevant to the subject of this thread since, as I said, Mint and Steam work fine otherwise.

Here's some of my system info:

Most users including me get error messages while booting Mint. If everything is working, they can be ignored.
If I have helped you solve a problem, please add [SOLVED] to your first post title, it helps other users looking for help.
Regards,
Deepak
