Clock: weather doesn't udpate

Post by sokolov »

Hello,

I'm running Linux Mint 20.3 Una 64-bit. In the task bar, I have the Clock applet, which shows date, time, weather, and temperature. The latter two are stuck at an outdated value for a while now. It is always showing partly sunny at -17 degrees, which is not always accurate. :-)

However, I have been unable to find where Clock obtains that data from, or how I could change/reinitiate the necessary updates.

Admittedly, the issue is not super important, I can just disable the display of weather and temperature, but maybe one of you knows of an easy solution?

Eventually, the data was updated.

However, I would still be curious to learn where the data is obtained, and if I could change a setting to potentially pull from a different source?
