Flatpak Freedesktop

Post by BakalianCraig »

Hi,

There is a download of the flatpak freedesktop software everyday. It seems redundant, like there is no purpose to this.
What is up with this?

Craig

Hello BakalianCraig welcome to the Forum.
Please share your system info by going to:
→→→→ Menu/System Reports/System Information/click "Copy"
and pasting it here.
(Equivalently, you can use the command inxi -Fxxxmprz on the Terminal.)

If you have Flatpaks installed, then the update is necessary. Some others mentioned that the updates are too frequent and they were annoyed, but if they are necessary updates, then we should get them.

Can you show:

Code: Select all

Reason: Adding

tags to your output makes it easier to read. It preserves some formatting.

I was told this is the driver package for the flatpaks you have.
Apparently you need an additional flatpak driver for every driver version you have installed, and if anything changes you have to re-download them all over again!
It is true that for a while there was a (humongous) flatpak update every single day, it has slowed down a little bit recently. The point is, you'd better not be on a metered connection...
