Is there a simple CAD program for LM?

Post by DDR-4 »

I need a simple CAD program that's easy to knock out a basic 3d design.
Any suggestions please?
TIA

Hi, try Freecad. It’s in the repos. The latest version is on the Freecad website. Librecad for 2d.

I tested it when I was still on LM18 and it worked fine. Most importantly, it is compatible with AutoCAD. :D

EDIT: Sorry, I didn't note at the beginning that you were looking for 3D.

TinkerCad (web based) is pretty cool and you can do a lot with it, but if you are like me eventually you surpass it's capabilities and need to go into something with a little more punch. I've just started learning FreeCAD and it seems like it's going to be very cool to work with once I get past the learning curve.
