backintime and sleep

Post by Cannondale »

New to Mint and running v21 Cinnamon. I'm interested in scheduling a backup of my home directory to augment Timeshift.
I'm curious to know whether a scheduled backintime job will wake a sleeping (not hibernating) computer.
I have reviewed the backintime documentation and did not find anything on sleep.
I did see the comment "Wake up from suspend/hibernate will not trigger this schedule."
Any clarification on how sleep is handled would be helpful.
