Rosegarden

Postby frank392 » Sun Jul 22, 2007 9:16 pm

Hi,
I have just install Rosegarden from the LinuxMint software and when I try to run it I get this message:

System timer resolution is too low
Rosegarden was unable to find a high-resolution timing source for MIDI performance.
This may mean you are using a Linux system with the kernel timer resolution set too low. Please contact your Linux distributor for more information.

is this normal, or how you fix it?
please help

This is due to that the kernel from 2.6.13 uses a kernel system timer of 250 Hz. Before that it was 1000 Hz

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
