GDM login -> Is there a way to edit it in Helena yet?

Post by Anaxis » Mon Jan 25, 2010 9:04 pm

Hey,

just wondering if there was a GUI application for editing the GDM login settings for Mint 8 yet? I know that it's tricky to get around Gnome's integration with xsplash, but all of the methods I've tried seemed to have resulted in copious amounts of fail so far.

Unlikely there'll be an official editor for Karmic/Helena. Maybe there'll be one when Lucid is released that gets backported.

You can change certain aspects, like the theme being used and background wallpaper, etc through invoking the display properties this way

Code: Select all

# gksudo -u gdm dbus-launch gnome-appearance-properties
