Handbrake doesnt complete(?)

Post by Alucard »

I currently have LM8 x64 and the newest x64 version of Handbrake. During encoding what happens about 75% of the time is the first file will show 100% complete however still have the icon as if it were processing....it never starts to encode the next file in the queue. At this point Handbrake is hung and the only way to end it is to reboot. Does this occur for anyone else?

Watching the first file I looking at the size I can tell that it completed successfully. I typically use one of Handbrakes default profiles to encode the video. This did not occur at all in linux 7 with the older version of handbrake.

I am not sure on your hand break issue, but personally I have been using AcidRip from the repositories for the last week too rip DVDs and it works like a champ.

Thanks for the tip, I'll look into acidrip but first I will use HandBrake to rip and encode. I previously used DVD Decrypter to rip (windows app through wine) and encoded with HandBrake but I will try HandBrake for it all.
