OK everyone, hit me with ur favorite Bittorrent client

Postby light24bulbs » Sun Jul 29, 2007 3:24 pm

Yo i am in need of a torrenter for fiesty. i thought some input would be great because, as we all know, clients where not created equal. im looking for something fast with the ability to prioritize torrents and files. Heavy system requirements is no object.

I recommend Azureus ... very powerful already out of the box, but even if that should not be enough: There are tons of plugins.

It is quite resource-hungry sometimes ... this shouldn't be a problem if your system is reasonably modern (e.g. Pentium 4, 2+ GHz, 1 GB RAM ...) and it needs the latest Java virtual machine.

Install instructions can e.g. be found here:

Usage and setup instructions here:

Transmission or Deluge. The two programs can be found in Getdeb portal

Transmission is lignhtening and fast, very useful if you don't have a power PC.

Adeus!

Azureus is at the software portal as well.

Deluge is, too, I believe.

Edit: n/m sorry. I see the request is for feisty, not mint.
