Avi menu maker for Mint

Postby gollum1971 » Fri Aug 03, 2007 5:25 pm

Hi Mintys

Does anyone know of a program that makes DVD type menus for AVI files.
I prefer to back-up my own dvd collection, I have a DVD player that plays the AVI format. So of course I convert them to AVI.

I wondered if anyone knew of a program to make DVD type menus for my AVI films.

Thanks in advance

Aiden

I have found a guide for Gentoo that seems to be widely used

For Ubuntu nothing, but google for "menu avi ubuntu" and see if any of the hits is a good one...

Thanks for the reply Husse.

It seems that I'm doing the whole encoding thing backwards, most people encode AVI to DVD, no not me I want encode from DVD to AVI with menus !!!!

Can't find any programs through Google and there is only one that can do it on Windows (TMPGE Divx Author) and that has DRM so wine isn't a option either.

Oh well I will just have to skip from one film/show to another for now, maybe one day soon, some clever Linux fan will make one.

Thanks

Aiden
