Firefox Minimise Restore Maximise Buttons Missing

I have just installed Mint 9 and found that the buttons top right were missing.

To add or remove them toggle your F11 key.

This is a bug that has shown up occasionally since Mint 6. No one seems to be able to kill it.

The fix suggested by Fornhamfred in his post is the standard response. It usually works.

Thanks for the info.

I searched Google but did not come up with a bug report. I have never come across the problem before and assumed that it was due to Ubuntu moving the icons to the top left instead of right.

I have marked the post solved as it has cured the problem on this machine.

I think a workaround for this is to go into Compiz -> Workarounds and enable Legacy Fullscreen Support.

Not entirely sure if this is the same issue I've dealt with in the past but that worked for me.

You're correct. That is the long term workaround. It has been a while since I last saw this so I had forgotten. Thanks for the reminder.
