Samba

Postby IndyUK » Wed Aug 29, 2007 3:16 pm

Hi,

I'm trying to setup a share with Samba on my XP machine but keep getting the following error..

Code: Select all

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on //iserver/MMedia,
       missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail  or so

What am I doing wrong? Samba is definitely running as I did a smbclient -L and that displayed all the shares on the XP server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You're not showing the actual mount command you tried to use ...?

Hi Scorp123...

It was...

Code: Select all

sudo mount -t smbfs -o username=administrator,password=password //iserver/MMedia /mnt/iserver
