VirtualBox - does it run well in Mint 9?

Post by runbei » Sat Aug 28, 2010 11:34 am

It would be a big help in my work if I could run VirtualBox stably in Mint 9. (Had a rough time with VB in Mint 8.) Anyone using VB successfully in Isadora?

My answer is yes, but then again it was, and still is, perfectly stable in Mint 8 too, as well as everywhere else I have installed it (which is quite a few places). If your install was not stable then maybe it was the guest OS that was unstable not the host?

Thanks - that's helpful. I never did get VB working in Mint 8. I'm guessing I didn't succeed in completely uninstalling all components from Mint 7 before I tried it in Mint 8. It would have been worth a complete Mint reinstall, but I never got around to it.
