Mark all upgrades

It would be nice to see the "Mark all upgrades" button on the synaptic tool bar again. I don't always use mint update, especially when I have other apps to install at the same time. I go straight to synaptic to do the job. For example when I am upgrading or reinstalling my system I know which apps I need as well as upgrading old versions of currently installed apps. I can do it all from synaptic if the Mark all Upgrades button is available as in other debian based systems.

custom filters -> upgradable(upstream) ? if I'm not wrong that would be the same?
