install grub alone

Post by karuga »

I recently installed a primitive operating system a.k.a windows on friends computer. She was to do some college project on .net framework.
Now,this strange operating system do not supply an option for selecting the OS to boot from.Is there a way i can just install grub alone since its unwritten rule that primitive operating systems are to be touched if forced to,otherwise be in Unix(Mint off-course) all the time.

What is the other OS besides Windows you want to select?

Have you tried the link given by 'proxima_centauri'?
I had the same link in mind. I asked about OS
because you said a friends computer, and I just
wanted to make sure that she was using Mint or
Ubuntu before I gave the same link.
