synaptic SOLVED!!

Hi, I am new to Mint.I have been running PCLinuxOS. I Installed Linux Mint 10 gnome 64 bit. I am really liking this!! I have one problem though. When I try to update synaptic I have no mark all upgrades button!!
this is wierd? with over 200 updates ready to be installed I can't be clicking manually to update!!!! how can I get MARK ALL UPGRADES button back?http://forums.linuxmint.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=47#

This button has been removed from Synaptic Package Manager. Linux Mint uses the mintUpdate application to manage updates, it should be there in the notification area, you can perform full updates using mintUpdate.

Also note that updates are grouped into levels 1-5 in MintUpdate and the default is that only 1-3 updates are shown and marked for installation.
If you really want to update everything, you will have to change the settings to display/install level 4-5 updates as well.
