Using Wine

Post by Medaille »

I installed Wine and I am trying to use it to run Quicken. I open the wine configuration program, click the applications tab, which opens the "select an executable file" window. I navigate to c:Program Files, but all it shows me are the "common files" and "internet explorer" folders. Quicken, of course, is in the quicken folder. Anybody know how to use this?

I believe, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, you need to install the windows app (Quicken) under Linux so Wine can see it. At least that is what I did on my laptop (only running Mint 10) Not at that machine right now, but I believe I used it to install the Kindle App, which I have yet to get to work and gave up on it, but when I installed it went fine, and put an icon in the menu etc.
