help installing pctel drivers

i was playing around with ubuntu 64 and i need to install the drivers to my modem. i get this problem:

include/asm/mach-default directory could not be found
need you probably you configures your kernel, please read the FAQ
about in include/asm/mach-default directory.

This is a softare modem

Take a look at this site All these modems are software modems which use windows drivers. It may be your modem is not supported by Linux
