Virtualbox / VMware on Mint12

Post by justinjohn » Tue Dec 06, 2011 2:06 pm

Which would be better (easier) to run windows7 in Mint12?

Also... I looked around for a bit and didn't see anything specific - where can I find a 'How To' on installing this for Mint12

Thanks!!

=D

i tried both and my verdict is vmware. virtualbox is in the repos, but i have noticed extremely high cpu usage and less user friendly environment. was actually going for a dual boot, but then i googled and found this article:
http://debianhelp.wordpress.com/2011/11 ... in-ubuntu/

tried it, and am running win7 with office 10, smoothly as a baby.

i would suggest to you to start with virtualbox, if it works, you're fine.

if not there is a great solution in vmware player.

hope this helps
