Klaptop type program

I've used KDE for the past 2 years so i'm pretty new to gnome, but i do like it more than KDE. I was wondering if anyone knew of a program for gnome that is like Klaptop. I need a program to setup performance profiles for my laptop. I just want to be able to go from full blown performance to a battery save type state. Any ideas that fit in the gnome scope.
