Chromium problems in Cinnamon

Hey everyone.

I have problems phrasing this concisely. Recently I changed my DE from Xfce to Cinnamon and I assume that the problems I will list are related to that change. Chromium is my default browser and it's acting weird in connection with other programs since the DE switch.

When...

- I download a file or folder, "Chromium won't launch" the respective programs (Nautilus, VLC, transmission...

- in Skype I click a link, it won't open in Chromium.

In Firefox these problems don't occur.

I've purged and reinstalled Chromium in an attempt to solve the issues, but...

I had a problem which might be related. The Software managers copy of Chrome will not play video trailers of Flixster no matter what I tried.
I then downloaded a copy of Chrome from Google direct, which plays nicely.
Might I suggest you try that, it might work. Plus it's a more up to date copy.

Right now I am using Firefox and will try if the next updates fix these problems. Maybe it is Cinnamon related and will be solved soon.

SOLVED.

The behaviour disappeared after reinstalling Chromium today.
