iPod reformat

Postby MattSegstro » Fri Apr 04, 2008 7:35 pm

Hello everyone,

I have an iPod that I want to use in Linux, it's a 30GB video and I can transfer all my music to it just fine using Banshee Media Player, but other than music, I don't know how to do anything with it. One of my biggest problems is the lack of ability to reformat the iPod and restore it to factory settings. This is very easy to do in Windows in iTunes, but seemingly impossible to do in Linux. Is there a program for doing that, or a way to do that in Mint?

Secondly, but less importantly, how do I transfer movies and pictures to my iPod in Mint? I mainly use my iPod for music so this doesn't matter much, but I would still like to learn.
