Post by kloefer »

In linux mint 16 I can download videoclips but not in mint 17. In "sound and video" appears in both ; avidemux, banshee, brasero, videos, vlc media player.

What to do ?

Hi,

I am not 100% certain that I properly understand your challenge, but I *think* that you're trying to download and save local copies of say Youtube videos to your local machine. If that's the case, you can try this:-

Launch Firefox and go to the Firefox Add-Ons web site. You will find several plug-ins that let you access YouTube videos directly. Here are 2 good examples:-

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... src=search

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... src=search

You can install either [or both] of those in Firefox and they will give you local access to the files...

Hope that helps.
