Do you have the libflashsupport package installed? Fancast crashes Firefox for me unless I have that package installed.

Try this:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge flashplugin-nonfree gnash gnash-common libflashsupport mozilla-plugin-gnash nspluginwrapper swfdec-mozilla && sudo apt-get install flashplugin-nonfree

Guys - all you need to do is uninstall flashplugin-nonfree and install adobe-flashplugin. It's all right there in the package manager.

Thanks for this. Removing flashplugin-nonfree and installing adobe-flashplugin also worked for me.
