Linuxmint 18.2 - UX430UQ - Muffled Sound

Post by brokenshoulder »

Hi All,

I'm having an issue with muffled sound on a fresh linuxmint 18.2 install on an ASUS UX430UQ laptop. The sound worked fine on the initial install, but once rebooting is "muffled/fuzzy". I had tried searching for solutions and tried several versions of purging pulseaudio/alsa, but eventually ended up with no sound and re-installed to get back to original problem.

Any ideas on a fix? System info is below.
