Sound works just fine in Discord and Spotify.

It happened after a recent update, but I couldn''t tell you exactly when.

EDIT: Solved!

Try this go to a terminal and install pavucontrol with this command

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install pavucontrol

once installed bring up the apt. it should be found under sound in the menu and will be called (Pulse Audio Volume Control).
now bring up chrome or FF and start an audio file You tube will do.
once it's running - go to Pulse Audio Control and look for chrome - then check under that tab make sure the volume is up and that it's
set to speakers. Mine was defaulted to headphones.
Good luck.

I already have pavucontrol installed. It was set up to output to HDMI. Strange. Thanks!
