Adobe Flash plugin doesn't work properly since last update

Hello peeps


there's a radio-station that I listen to via the browser. Since the last update of "adobe-flashplugin", i cannot open the page and simultaneously watch youtube-clips (and other video-streaming sites), animated pics on facebook don't work either. Once I've closed the tab with the radio, the yt-clips startet automatically. The same problem seems to appear the other way round - If I load the video-clips first and then the other page the stream won't run. It seems that these problems appear in all browsers - hence my thought that this is related to the plugin. I've also noticed that the streaming-clips (in chrome) will start once I've closed the other tab (in firefox).

I use the recent version 1:20170912.1-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 in Mint 17.2.

I don't know if it is related but I'd noticed a problem with it as well.

Right after the update a video streaming site I use (Crunchyroll) that still uses flash - the sound no longer plays for their flash videos. All my other sound stuff works and non-flash stream videos as well.

I hadn't been sweating it since that site is switching soon to HTML5 - it was the only reason I was using the flash plugin.

I have the same issue with crunchyroll. Non-flash streams (eg. Youtube) work.

Surprisingly, hulu works...sorta.

I am using Linux Mint 18.2 Cinnamon, and, because of the most recent update of Adobe Flash plugin, I can't adjust Firefox sound volume through LM' s "Sound Settings" any more. Firefox would ignore anything from "Sound Settings".

FF has had problems with Flash in Linux forever. Try Chrome ... not chromium, as it doesn't have the same Flash support that Chrome does. I don't use Google to search very often however. Startpage HTTPS is my default search engine.

Disable hardware acceleration and enable DRM-contents from Firefox.

I found that Facebook's Flash game "myVEGAS Slots - Free Casino" has a lot of problem with sound volume likes I mentioned above. I have just try it now, and it is still having problem the same way. Sometime, the same problem would happen to youtube.com' videos.

Someone in the #ubuntu-channel suggested to turn off the flash-plugin in Firefox, which indeed solved my problem (even though neither youtube nor the other pages use streaming-flash nowadays). I'll try to evaluate the problem further and open a bug report

I recently realized that Firefox and other browsers have outlawed flash. I have a website I have used that has free orchestration lessons and that uses flash, plus software I bought a few years ago that runs entirely via flash. So anyhow I figured out that the only browser that would still allow flash for me was Konqueror, thank goodness. Don't know if that helps, but it might.

There is a more recent version of flash plug-in came with "Software Update" today. The problem with "Can't adjust volume" is now disappeared.

Beat me to it. Today's update fixed my flash sounds in the firefox with the few sites I was having problems with!
