Noise in Linux MInt

Post by SimpleUser » Tue Oct 17, 2017 12:46 pm

Hi, I'm using Linux Mint 17 Cinnamon x64.

Every time around the day there's a noise from the system, it's like a double-triple notification or a transition sound. It hasn't an order, just sound while I'm working or watching videos, listening music or in a VMachine.

What is this noise? How can I disable it?

Maybe try to eliminate some of the most obvious possibilities:

E-mail notification?

Some cron job completing that includes a sound?

Some other app you run that might notify you as per your settings?

I can't think of much else, sorry.
