Installed Mint 18.2 64bit (Cinnamon) a little while ago, and couldn't get the sound working. Just returned to it today, and again, no sound. I've gone searching here and all over looking for a solution but nothing has worked (the card itself is recognized, have installed audio control things and nothing is muted, no updates did anything, etc). When sound is supposed to be playing, the bar moves, but I don't actually hear anything. Really not sure what the problem is, though I'm pretty new to this myself. Any help is appreciated!
Some audio info I grabbed, if that makes this any easier?
Card-1 C-Media CMI8788 [Oxygen HD Audio] driver: snd_oxygen
Card-2 Advanced Micro Devices [AMD/ATI] Cape Verde/Pitcairn HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 7700/7800 Series] driver: snd_hda_intel
Sound: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture v: k4.10.0-32-generic
Additional note: I'm on a dual boot with Windows 10 (sound works fine there). I don't know if that could affect anything, but I figured I'd put it out there.
