xplayer and repeat mode from the commandline

Post by naftahorn »

So I was wondering if anyone knows a way to toggle Xplayer's "Repeat Mode" from the commandline? Yes I know vlc can do this (i.e. $ vlc -L -f <filename>) but need to get this to work for xplayer as well. So far --help gives me the following options (pasted below), which has not repeat. What's the chance someone here can help me get around this limitation? Thx.

Code: Select all

Usage:
xplayer [OPTION...] - Play movies and songs

Help Options:
  -h, --help Show help options
  --help-all Show all help options
  --help-gst Show GStreamer Options
  --help-gtk Show GTK+ Options

Application Options:
  --debug Enable debug
  --play-pause Play/Pause
  --play Play
  --pause Pause
  --next Next
  --previous Previous

  --toggle-controls Show/Hide Controls
  --quit Quit
  --enqueue Enqueue

I;m running 17.3 on this machine I'm typping this on and it doesn't have xplayer installed. But if that's was the complete list of options from "man xplayer" in the terminal, I don't see how it's possible.

xplayer is like totem, but not. with lxmint18+ they switched from some of the other apps to xplayer, xread, and the like. So it's very very similar to totem. But yah i read the man pages, but hoped that some techie guru knew of a way to make this work like VLC. I think i might have to ask another question and see what kinda response i get from that.
