Can i add system sounds?

Post by PrestigePork » Thu Nov 30, 2017 1:43 am

I've been wondering if im able to make it so when i open a file or folder it makes that "click" sound like windows 7 makes, is there an option for me to do it or do i have to manually add it, or even add my own?

In Cinnamon: Menu -> Preferences -> Sound -> Sound Effects

When I do there is no option for folders opening, only programs, and when I tried to open folder it didn't make a sound. I don't want programs to make the sound.

"Windows" rather than "programs", including a new Nemo (i.e., your file manager) window, but I take it you want sound while navigating folders within Nemo. I don't believe Nemo has that option; nothing visible, and I see nothing in dconf either.
