Loss of sound when using 'Standby'

Post by ES44AC8102 »

I am noticing a loss of audio when I wake 18.3 up from the standby mode. Oddly enough if I click on a random mp3 file the sound returns and works until the next use of standby.

If I use the code

Code: Select all

inxi -F
This is the result with any info on the audio:

System: Host: Area52 Kernel: 4.13.0-36-generic x86_64 (64 bit)
Desktop: Cinnamon 3.6.7 Distro: Linux Mint 18.3 Sylvia
Machine: Mobo: ASUSTeK model: Rampage Extreme v: Rev 2.xx
Bios: American Megatrends v: 1301 date: 07/27/2009
CPU: Quad core Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 (-MCP-) cache: 4096 KB
clock speeds: max: 2400 MHz 1: 2400 MHz 2: 2400 MHz 3: 2400 MHz
4: 2400 MHz
Graphics: Card: NVIDIA GM107 [GeForce GTX 750 Ti]
Display Server: X.Org 1.18.4 drivers: nvidia (unloaded: fbdev, vesa, nouveau)
Resolution: 1920x1080@60.00hz
GLX Renderer: GeForce GTX 750 Ti/PCIe/SSE2
GLX Version: 4.5.0 NVIDIA 384.111
Audio: Card-1 NVIDIA Device 0fbc driver: snd_hda_intel
Card-2 Intel 82801I (ICH9 Family) HD Audio Controller
driver: snd_hda_intel
Sound: Advanced Linux Sound Architecture v: k4.13.0-36-generic

If I shut the machine off in between uses the audio is always there, but since I use it during the day multiple times it makes sense to have it on standby.

Thanks in advance,
