[Solved] Sound volume control in browsers.

Post by davewells1 » Fri Jul 20, 2018 7:12 am

After upgrading to Mint 19 Cinnamon, my master volume control (in tray) no longer controls the sound from web sites either in Firefox or Chromium. I have to open PulseAudio volume control when I use either browser. ...used to work before the upgrade.

Found the problem. The upgrade apparently made both the built-in audio and the PCM2900 audio 'live' in PulseAudio. ...turned off the PCM2900 and everything works as it did before the upgrade.
