In Mint 19 , Gnome Alsa Mixer will not show my Soundblaster Audiy 2, so i cannot turn on the analogue jack. Any idea of an alternate app i can use?

Hi Yorkshire, and welcome to the forum.

I have never used Gnome-alsamixer, but it appears to be a GUI front end for alsamixer. In alsamixer you press Alt-F6 to choose which sound card you want to make changes to. Maybe the same for Gnome-alsamixer?

If you still have trouble, paste back the results of typing cat /proc/asound/card* in the terminal.

Another option is PulseAudio Volume Control (pavucontrol) that I think is worth installing even if the above sorts out your issue.
