Removing Sound Drivers
I am looking to install a new sound card, and would like to remove my existing drivers for the two sound devices I have (SB1550 and the onboard audio) before installing the new one. How would I do that?

Re: Removing Sound Drivers
You shouldn't have to remove any drivers before installing a different sound card

Re: Removing Sound Drivers
Just to add to Jeremy's comment, almost all drivers are built into the Linux kernel and only loaded as detected/needed. I'm not aware of any proprietary sound drivers, like one might use for certain graphics cards, that doesn't mean they don't exist. If you used Mint's Driver Manager to install such, they can be removed via Driver Manager.
